Dr. David Choi has served as an expert witness in patent litigation cases involving major wireless telecommunication equipment OEMs in both the International Trade Commission (ITC) and Federal District Courts, as a testifying expert witness in Civil Litigation, and has supported dozens of IP asset valuation projects.

In the ITC and District Court cases, Dr. Choi carried out detailed technical analyses on patents pertaining to RF and microwave circuits, specifically, on Doherty RF amplifiers, which have the unique ability to provide both linear and efficient power amplification. Dr. Choi provided technical primers and reverse engineering, assisted in patent infringement contentions, claim constructions, as well as responding to opposing parties’ expert witness report(s). In the Civil Litigation case, Dr. Choi wrote an expert report (and rebuttal), was deposed, and expects to testify in the hearing (March 2017).
